ROTARY TROMMEL SCREEN (Rotary screens internal)
is a mechanical self-cleaning device that was developed to meet the growing need and demand for an efficient and economical method of removing suspended solids from industrial and municipal waste streams or process water. The continuous and self-cleaning effect of the rotating screens makes it possible to use higher flow capacities than those of any other type of screen thus resulting in substantial savings with respect to both investment and maintenance.
Principle of Operation
Rotary trommel screen is an internally feed rotating wedge wire screen with many unique features. The screen shearing action of solids from liquid as they are carried over the taper headbox weirs. The solid move downward past the screen slot opening, allowing the liquid to pass relatively unhindered through the screen. The rotating screen move all of the solid to discharge at the end of screen.
